Sex and the City... The Muzimei Phenomenon and its Impact on the Chinese Internet为原稿的,Andrea翻译自我们城市联盟的Owen的一篇Post.
(Weciti)------LivingInChina------Telegraph NewspaperSmall World, isn't it?But I have to say:"Thanks, but no thanks."For these western reporters, what they focused on is not what actually happening in our real life real world, what they want is just news, any news of china. No matter what kind of news is, they just want the news be cool------Come on,all guys! Please find what the mainstream of china is, don't put all you energy on these claptrap!
Owen------Andrea------Adam Luck
BTW,Blogging in china is going very well and Mu zimei never belongs to our blog society(or exactly Blogosphere)!

nice to forgather with you & topku
you are all welcome
that's my earnest notion.
Topku, I haven't figured out what your job really is. I'll stick to it anyway. One thing I'd say that I cannot agree with you on "what they want is just news, any news of china". Maybe, for some tabloids, they just need the "any news" and fabricate it to be cool and novel. After spending some time in the foreign media circle, i think most are selective and even fastidious in terms of getting ideas. They seem unsatisfied with what you provided all the time. That really pissed me off. I should not deny that they'll sometimes distort facts and seek novelty for personal or cultural reason or maybe for "Market effect" reason, whatever. But most are responsible in terms of their attitude, especially when they are working on social issues.(Political stuff are exceptional as they contain so many ideological facts). But i'm not supporting them. I'm neutral:)
Posted by: tongee at December 16, 2003 11:50 PMHi,Silver, you must be the journalist that topku helped to find for me for that interview.
Topku has describled the process for Adam to get you.Fact is, the real process is much more complicated than what he described. So what did finally happen? Did I cause you any trouble? If so, I would say sorry. Anyway, thanks a lot.
say sorry to topku:)
i do not really help Adam for his interview with mzm,
cause he had to back to HK/London for his business,
maybe he wanted to seek novelty, maybe it just came for the news——the phenomena of mzm.
i just want to listen to mzm's words . a kind of feeling ,the lady was suffering from monophobia.
Posted by: Yan at December 16, 2003 01:49 PM

Good Good Study,Day Day Up!
